We are seeking a Senior Application Developer who is passionate about building secure, scalable, and high-impact technology solutions that support our mission in hospice, palliative, and personal care. Reporting to the Senior Director of Applications and Data, you will drive solution design and implementation across multiple domains including DevOps, data integration, and application architecture.
This role offers the opportunity to lead innovative projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to a multi-year strategic roadmap aimed at improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Strategy & Execution
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable applications and data solutions
Build, maintain, and support DevOps pipelines and application/data integration workflows
Contribute to enterprise-wide roadmaps, ensuring alignment with long-term IT and business goals
Work with internal and external partners to execute complex implementations
Support business units, analysts, and vendors through technical guidance and troubleshooting
Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor junior developers and provide code review for internal and external teams
Partner with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business needs
Maintain regular communication with leadership regarding system improvements and project milestones
Ensure compliance with IS security standards, data governance, and regulatory requirements
Solution Delivery & Optimization
Support both passive and proactive analytics through data architecture and reporting workflows
Contribute to quality assurance, system upgrades, and platform migrations
Provide technical backup support for data and solution architects
Specialized Knowledge/Skills
Proficiency in .NET, SQL, Python, database architecture, and CI/CD tools
Strong experience with cloud platforms, scripting, data masking/encryption, and access control
Ability to create architectural diagrams and documentation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organizational and project management skills
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field preferred (Associate’s with equivalent experience considered)
Experience in database design, application development, DevOps, enterprise workflows, and third-party integrations
Broad knowledge of software development lifecycle and enterprise architecture principles
Training/Technology
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Adobe tools, preferred
Comfortable working in cross-functional, agile environments
