We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our IT team, reporting directly to the IT Manager. In this role, you will design, engineer, and support both physical and virtual network devices critical to our data center and enterprise environments. You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure network reliability, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and document data center network architecture and future state plans.
Provide operational support for network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and controllers.
Lead and participate in network upgrade and migration projects with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with multiple vendors to implement and complete networking projects.
Provide timely support to end users and operational teams for network-related issues.
Communicate recommendations for system improvements to management.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Expertise with Dell Networking, Fortinet, Viptela, Meraki network devices.
Experience configuring and maintaining load balancers; VMW NSX experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including LAN/WAN and SDWAN.
Ability to troubleshoot and administer network infrastructure and security devices.
Proficient in creating accurate network diagrams and technical documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective vendor and team collaboration.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
Education and Experience:
3-5 years experience in telecommunications or network engineering roles.
Hands-on experience with Dell Networking, Fortinet, Viptela, Meraki preferred.
Experience with load balancer configuration and maintenance preferred.
Familiarity with VMW NSX and complex project implementation preferred.
Certifications:
Fortinet Engineer certification preferred.
Tools and Equipment:
Experience with Dell S Series switches, Fortinet firewalls, switches, APs, and FortiADS load balancers.
Ability and willingness to learn new systems and technologies as required.
