Business Intelligence Developer

The Business Intelligence Developer reports to the Director of Business Intelligence and Data Services and plays a key role in maintaining existing data solutions while building new ones to meet evolving business needs. This position supports the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) — from requirements gathering to development to production maintenance — ensuring accuracy, performance, and reliability of enterprise data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support across the entire SDLC, from technical requirements to production maintenance

• Engineer optimized data structures for analytics purposes

• Design and develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

• Document design specifications and test plans to ensure accuracy of delivered data solutions

• Interpret data and relationships within OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) systems

• Monitor and manage integration elements to ensure performance and customer satisfaction

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through analysis, coding, clear documentation, and issue resolution

Qualifications - What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business intelligence, computer science, or related field

• 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare IT, analytics, software development, or data management

• Strong SQL or Python programming skills

• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server database modeling and development

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

• Familiarity with BI reporting technologies such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, SSRS, Power BI

• Knowledge of OLTP and OLAP systems and data modeling best practices

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to various audiences

• Proven problem-resolution skills and professional judgment

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred (Not Required)

• Prior healthcare industry experience

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS

• Familiarity with additional programming languages beyond SQL and Python

• Experience contributing to project monitoring and knowledge continuity initiatives

• Continuous learning mindset with a track record of adapting to new technologies and processes
