RN - Nurse Preceptor - Hospice - FT - PA East & NJ Territory
A company fleet car is provided for eligible employees.
+ Hospice Case Management Experience Preferred
+ Home Care Home Base EMR Experience Strongly Preferred
- This is a Regional Travel position.
- Territory Includes offices in PA & NJ:
** Blue Bell, Bala Cynwyd, Chadds Ford, Trevose, PA and Clementon, Northfield, Piscataway, NJ.
As a Hospice Nurse Preceptor, You Will:
• Report to the Assistant Vice President of Operations (AVPO)
• Deliver direct, hands-on hospice nursing care in patients’ homes based on physician orders
• Serve as a mentor and role model for new nurses (preceptees), guiding them through orientation and real-time patient visits
• Train and coach new hires on clinical processes, electronic documentation, regulatory compliance, technology, and company policies
• Facilitate a smooth transition from onboarding to confident, independent field practice
• Model compassionate communication and safe, compliant care delivery
• Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure best practices are upheld in the field
Qualifications - What you'll bring:
• Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
• CPR certification required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical nursing setting
• Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Passion for teaching and coaching with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable providing care and education in a home-based hospice setting
• Empathetic, professional, and patient-centered approach to both caregiving and mentorship
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
• Hospice or home health nursing experience
• Prior experience as a nurse preceptor, educator, or clinical trainer
• Familiarity with hospice regulatory standards and EMR systems
