Revenue Cycle Senior Billing Specialist

We are looking for a Revenue Cycle Senior Billing Specialist to join our team. This position will directly report to the Revenue Cycle Manager and is responsible for billing and collections for the Hospice Division. The role will process bills for all payer sources, direct patient care and ancillary supplies covering multiple branch locations in a specific geographic region.

• Completes cash transmittal for cash received to instruct Central Support Cash Application Reps on method of payment and mails cash to the lockbox. Identifies accounts/invoices and where to post cash, photocopies all applicable checks and files copies/applicable account forms
• Monitors/traces/corrects billing errors and ensures that corrected invoices are processed and generated to ensure correct billing and receiving
• Responds to billing inquiries from branch offices, insurance companies, and other staff. Provides guidance to branch staff regarding billing procedures, contract billing requirements and potential collections problems

• 3-5 years' prior Hospice or Home Health billing and/or reimbursement experience
• Able to manage a reasonable volume of detailed work
• Familiar with the rules and regulations of medical billing; to include CPT and ICD-10 coding protocols and procedures
• Skilled at problem solving and account resolution
• Able to meet or exceed financial goals set by the Company
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Homecare-Homebase experience a plus
• Experience with DDE, E-solutions, Waystar and/or Nthrive a plus
• Excellent communication and organization skills
